GRAPES: 100% Vermentino
PRODUCTION AREA: Via Gelsarello, Location Mola, Porto Azzurro, Elba Island
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LANDS AND VINEYARDS: Plants of about 15 years with east / west exposure, partly flat and partly hilly with spurred cordon training system for a density between 4500 and 5000 plants per hectare. Yield 65 quintals / ha, 1.6 kg per vine.
HARVEST 2019: The ripening of our white grapes was slow and complete thanks to an excellent seasonal trend that after one of the hottest June and July in recent years saw the arrival of substantial rains at the beginning of August which helped the grapes to sustain freshness and acidity and flavor until the second week of September where the harvest took place.
